Our mission at Appleton & Associates ISW Ltd is to offer high quality independent social work assessments and services to local authorities, fostering agencies, the family courts and directly to families.
Our Director recognised that there was a need within the independent sector to offer a more affordable alternative to the bigger ISW assessment companies. And with that in mind, Appleton & Associates ISW Ltd was born.

Our assessments are high-quality, robust and evidence based. Using research, observations, children's voices via comprehensive direct work and direct work with their families to inform the overall assessment. Each assessment is quality assured by the director herself to ensure they meet the high standards of Appleton & Associates ISW.
The direct work completed as part of the assessment is illustrated where possible and included within the assessment to truly show the child's voice

Our Independent Social Workers offer supervised community family time on weekends, afterschool or during the week.
Each family is matched with an Independent Social Worker (where possible) to ensure a relationship based friendly service
All our assessors have
-Full enhanced DBS
- Registration with SW England
-Insurance
-Minimum of 5 years experience in frontline child protection
-All our Social Workers receive reflective supervision for the duration of their assignment with us.
-All assessments are quality assured to ensure the highest possible standards.
